CONVERGENCE 12 - NEW ORLEANS, LA
15-18 April 2006

What an amazing weekend! I will write more later, because I want to get these pix up ASAP, but many, many thanks to the C12 committee for all their hard work in making the dream a reality, and many, many thanks to my friends for the good times and laughs -- you all seriously rock!

Easter Lunch... We all look tired. Axel and me outside the Howling Wolf on Sunday night. Axel and Lorelei. These two nice people are from LA. Cusraque and me, 2006 (as opposed to 2000).
Esther and me, realising we've known each other a bloody LONG time! ROACH!!! People dancing. EASTER BUNNY! David, wearing a familiar-looking shirt.
A bunch of us hanging out on the curb outside the Howling Wolf.   Moses, Axel, and me surf the web from the Royal St. sidewalk.   Zara, Fross, and me on Monday morning. Madelyn and me.

C12 and C9
(and another of us taken long ago).

Jason after a fourth night of revelry. C* wouldn't be C* without a DIVE!
(We missed you, Mac.)
Kendra (wearing a very lovely shirt) and Keith. Hellsop and Geekers (with a fun purse) before checking out. Penguin slippers!
Christina's Southern Breakfast at Cafe Beignet. Rose pets a nice cat that hangs out on the Cafe Beignet's patio.

Much of the Quarter looks like this. I saw far worse Katrina destruction as well.

Wherever you are
around the world
you're never far
from IPM.
On Monday evening, we had a lovely dinner at Cafe Mojo.
The Quarter was really quiet. This is on Royal St. This statue made the news after Katrina; it remained unscathed from the storm aside from losing a finger. Winding down at the Dervish on Monday night. I was surprised more people didn't stay...they usually do, and we go for sushi. Snacks and smokes at the Dervish. I thought this was GREAT! A last look at the Mississippi before catching my cab.
The worst part of Convergence is the saying goodbye. Bourbon Street was very calm when I left. VIDEO!!!
