My whirlwind weekend on the east coast was truly the perfect summer vacation, because it involved some of the things I love the most -- travel, road trips, skating, rock concerts, and good, good friends.

In four days, I visited Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and Ohio (sure, I was only in airports in Georgia and Ohio, but who cares? I'm counting them); saw some quality skating; saw The Police (OMG!!) in one of the best concerts I've seen in the last couple of years; avoided being kissed by some random guy in the Giants Stadium parking lot; had amazing Thai food; drove through parts of the country I wouldn't have ordinarily visited; experienced a "water emergency"; and shared some good times and lots of laughs with a friend I don't see nearly enough.
