U2 CHRISTMAS VACATION

The last North American show of U2's PopMart tour was at the Seattle Kingdome on 12 December 1997 (the last concert here before it was torn down). I was fortunate enough to be able to go. My fellow teacher friend, Darlene, went with me, and we had a really great weekend. The show itself was incredible, the second best show I've ever seen (and second only to San Jose 2 of the Elevation tour). We had floor seats on Adam's side, 14th row, pretty close to the ramp. Nice!

Darlene and I met up with her brother and his wife the next day. We opened the bar at the Space Needle, had lunch at the Spaghetti Factory, saw the Real World pier, and visited the Old Curiosity Shop, home to the three-headed pig in a jar and other oddities. That evening, I met up with some people from the Bolly Brobber board, and we went to the Garden Room at the Four Seasons Hotel for some drinks. The Garden Room was gorgeous. I have really great memories from that night.

There aren't too many photos from that weekend, but the surviving ones are here. Please disregard the sketchy scans...these are OLD!
